Where to put your QR code
Places that get the most answers.
The best spot is where people naturally pause, at the moment they've just experienced what you're asking about.
Ideas that work
- At the till or counter, while people wait for their card machine or their order.
- On tables, in a stand or on the menu.
- By the door, at eye level, for people on their way out.
- On receipts and invoices, printed or emailed.
- In waiting areas and changing rooms, where people have a minute to spare.
- At events, by the exit, on your last slide or on name badges.
- In classes and workshops, on the wall or the closing slide, or in the follow-up email.
- On your website, as a pop-up on Pro. See The website pop-up.
- On a van, a quote or a job sheet, for trades and home services.
Getting more answers
- Ask in person: "If you have a second, we'd love a quick tap on the code."
- Keep the code at least 3 cm across for close-up scanning, and larger on walls or windows.
- Put it where there's good light, and away from glare.
- Use one survey per place if you want to compare them, such as one for the café and one for deliveries, or one per session at an event.
