Privacy, GDPR and your part in it

How Tinysurv keeps answers private, and what's up to you.

What Tinysurv does

  • No names or emails asked. We don't ask people for their name or email, and we don't keep their IP address with their answer.
  • Every survey shows a short privacy notice, with links to our privacy notice and cookies page.
  • Only what's needed is stored. The one cookie on your survey only stops repeat answers, so no cookie banner is needed for it.
  • Your data is yours. You can export or delete responses at any time.
  • A data processing agreement is built in. You're the controller of the answers you collect, and we process them for you. Our data processing agreement is part of the terms, so there's nothing to sign, and it lists the sub-processors we use.

What's up to you

You decide what to ask and what to do with the answers, so a few things are your responsibility:

  • Don't ask for sensitive information, such as health details, and don't ask people to identify themselves unless you need to.
  • If someone asks you to delete their comment, you can. See Deleting responses.
  • If you use the website pop-up, mention it in your own cookie notice if your website has one. The Share page gives you wording to copy.

The terms, data processing agreement and privacy notice have the full details.
