Your public score page

Show your survey's score on a page of its own, with a badge for your website.

A public score page shows one survey's score and number of ratings on Tinysurv, at an address like tinysurv.com/r/your-business, with a badge you can add to your website. It comes with Pro.

Turning it on

  1. Open the survey's Share page and find Public score page.
  2. Turn on Show this survey's score publicly.
  3. Enter your business name and the page address you'd like. Your website, town and anything you offer for answering are optional.
  4. Tick the three promises: you'll share the survey with all your customers, not only happy ones; you won't answer it yourself or ask friends or staff to; and if you offer anything for answering, you'll say so.
  5. Choose Turn on score page.

You can have one score page, for one survey. You can move it to another survey once every 90 days; its score then starts again from that survey's ratings, and the page says so.

What the page shows

  • Your business name, and your website and town if you gave them.
  • Your score: the average out of 5 for stars and smileys, or the share of thumbs up, with the number of ratings. For example, "4.6 out of 5 from 132 ratings".
  • How the ratings spread across the answers, your question, and when the most recent rating came in.
  • How the ratings are collected, and what you offer for answering, if anything.

Every rating from the last 12 months counts, including ones from before you turned the page on. The score only shows once you have 20 ratings from the last 12 months; until then the page says there aren't enough recent ratings yet, and search engines don't list it.

It never shows comments or anyone's own rating.

Deleting ratings

You can still delete responses. While your score page is on, the page shows how many ratings you deleted in the last 12 months.

The badge

Once your page is on, the Share page gives you a badge in two sizes, light or dark, and the code to paste into your website. It links to your score page and updates by itself, within an hour. Below 20 ratings, or once you turn the page off, it reads "Ratings on Tinysurv" with no score.

If you write your score out yourself, keep it up to date and say the period it covers, for example "Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 132 customers on Tinysurv in the last 12 months".

Turning it off

Turn off Show this survey's score publicly. The page then says it's no longer available, and the badge shows no score. Nobody else can take your page address for 90 days. Deleting the survey turns the page off too.

Note: Your customers see a line on the survey saying their rating counts towards your public score, and that their comment is only seen by you.
